Diagnostic challenges of maxillofacial sarcomas – literature review and case reports

چکیده

Sarcomas are malignant tumors of mesenchymal origin. They comprise < 1% adult malignancies and about 15-20% pediatric malignancies. These subdivided into bone cartilage sarcomas soft tissue type. the maxillofacial region 5-10% all this part body. Usually do not originate from benign tumors. Among factors known to induce sarcoma growth are: genetic defects, exposure pesticides herbicides, ionizing radiation immunosuppression. Treatment is based on complete tumor resection with a safety margin. Early correct diagnosis greatly increases therapeutic options improves prognosis.
